Master Kilt Maker
Trained with a highly regarded Kilt Maker in Scotland over a six month period Sandra returned to organise and run a training programme for those interested in acquiring valuable skills which allow them to hand make Kilts at home and sell them through Altnaveigh Tartan. To date fifteen kilt makers have completed the training programme, which is ongoing.

These are mainly women returners to employment and again mainly from the rural community. Having completed comprehensive skills training and a 
business start up programme these kilt makers are equipped to produce hand stitched kilts to the highest quality whilst operating a ‘cottage industry' from their own home.
